ESIK – Efo’s Language Courses for Immigrant Women 2025–2026
Efo has been granted project funding by the Finnish National Agency for Education for the project ESIK – Efo’s Language Courses for Immigrant Women 2025–2026.
The project’s target group is immigrant women who are not eligible for an integration plan or whose integration period has ended, for example those who have already lived in Finland for several years. The project also includes women under temporary protection (Ukrainians).
Participants in the project may be granted a free study place either on Linje S (full-time daytime studies for one academic year) or on an evening course during the spring term or autumn term 2026, depending on their personal life situation. Thanks to the project funding, the courses are free of charge for the participants.
The evening courses are designed to be compatible with employment or other studies. During the spring of 2026 the evening course will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 5.30–8 o’clock PM over a period of eight weeks starting 3rd March 2026.
No previous knowledge in Swedish is required for applying to the course. We form the course and its content based on the applications and participants’ former level of Swedish. A strong emphasis is placed on the student’s individual learning.
